These Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which Rubbish Removal Colliers Wood provides waste collection and related services to domestic and commercial customers within our service area. By making a booking, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before placing an order for any rubbish removal or waste collection service.
In these Terms and Conditions, the following expressions have the meanings set out below:
Customer means the person, business, or organisation requesting the services from Rubbish Removal Colliers Wood.
Service means any rubbish removal, waste collection, clearance, loading, transportation, and related services provided by Rubbish Removal Colliers Wood.
Waste means any materials, items, refuse, junk, or rubbish that the Customer requests us to collect and remove, excluding any prohibited waste as defined in these Terms and Conditions.
Booking means a confirmed request for services made by the Customer and accepted by Rubbish Removal Colliers Wood.
Vehicle means any vehicle used by Rubbish Removal Colliers Wood to carry out the services.
Rubbish Removal Colliers Wood provides waste collection and rubbish removal services for households, landlords, letting agents, offices, shops, and other commercial premises. Our services include the collection, loading, and removal of non-hazardous waste, and transport of that waste for lawful disposal or recycling at licensed facilities.
We do not provide skip hire services. All waste is collected by our team using our vehicles. The level of service, including the quantity of waste to be removed and any additional labour, will be agreed at the time of booking, subject to inspection on arrival.
3.1 Bookings may be made by telephone, email, or through any booking form we make available. When placing a booking, the Customer must provide accurate details of the location, type and estimated volume of waste, access arrangements, and any other information relevant to the safe and efficient completion of the work.
3.2 Any quotation provided before our arrival is based on the information supplied by the Customer and is an estimate only. The final price will be confirmed on site once our team has inspected the waste to be collected.
3.3 A booking is not considered confirmed until we have accepted it and provided a booking confirmation, which may be given verbally or in writing. We reserve the right to refuse any booking at our sole discretion.
3.4 The Customer must ensure that someone with authority to approve the work and charges is present at the time of collection, unless we have agreed otherwise in advance.
4.1 The Customer must provide safe, reasonable, and lawful access to the premises where the waste is located and to any areas required for our vehicles to park and load. Any parking restrictions must be disclosed at the time of booking.
4.2 The Customer is responsible for securing any permits or permissions required for our vehicles to park or load, unless otherwise agreed.
4.3 The Customer must ensure that the waste to be collected is clearly identified and separated from any items that are not to be removed. We will not be responsible for the removal of any items that were not clearly identified as waste.
4.4 If access to the premises or waste is obstructed or unsafe on arrival, we may cancel or postpone the service and charge a wasted journey or waiting time fee.
5.1 Our charges are generally based on the volume and type of waste removed, as well as the labour involved, access conditions, and any additional services requested. We may also apply minimum load charges.
5.2 Any quotation given prior to inspection is indicative only. Once on site, our team will confirm the final price before starting work. If the Customer does not agree to the revised price, we may cancel the service and a call-out or cancellation charge may apply.
5.3 All prices are stated in pounds sterling and may be subject to value added tax at the prevailing rate, where applicable.
6.1 Payment is due in full on completion of the service, unless alternative terms have been agreed in writing in advance. We accept cash, bank transfer, and major debit or credit cards, subject to availability of payment facilities.
6.2 For business customers with approved accounts, payment terms will be set out in the account agreement or invoice. If no specific terms are agreed, payment must be made within 14 days of the invoice date.
6.3 If payment is not received by the due date, we reserve the right to charge interest on the overdue amount at the statutory rate, together with reasonable debt recovery costs.
6.4 We may refuse to carry out or complete any service if satisfactory arrangements for payment are not in place.
7.1 The Customer may cancel or amend a booking by giving us notice by telephone or email. Cancellations or amendments made more than 24 hours before the scheduled collection time will normally be free of charge.
7.2 If the Customer cancels within 24 hours of the scheduled collection time, we reserve the right to apply a cancellation fee to cover administrative and scheduling costs.
7.3 If our team arrives at the premises at the agreed time and is unable to carry out the service due to lack of access, unsafe conditions, or other reasons outside our control, we may treat this as a late cancellation and charge a call-out or wasted journey fee.
7.4 We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a booking at any time due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to vehicle breakdown, staff sickness, severe weather, or health and safety concerns. In such cases, we will notify the Customer as soon as reasonably practicable and offer an alternative appointment.
8.1 Our rubbish removal and waste collection services are intended for general, non-hazardous waste. We do not accept certain types of waste, including but not limited to asbestos, clinical and medical waste, chemicals, solvents, oils, gas bottles, pressurised containers, explosives, radioactive materials, and any other hazardous or special waste as defined by law.
8.2 The Customer must inform us in advance if any waste may contain hazardous or regulated materials. We reserve the right to refuse to handle any waste that we reasonably believe to be hazardous or unlawful for us to carry.
8.3 If hazardous or prohibited items are discovered among the waste after loading has begun, we may remove and leave such items on site, or unload the affected part of the waste. Any additional costs incurred in dealing with such items, including disposal or decontamination costs, may be charged to the Customer.
9.1 Rubbish Removal Colliers Wood operates in accordance with applicable UK waste management legislation and regulations. We hold or operate under the appropriate registrations, licences, or exemptions required to collect and transport controlled waste.
9.2 All waste collected will be taken to licensed disposal or recycling facilities, and we will use reasonable efforts to maximise recycling and recovery, subject to the composition of the waste and available facilities.
9.3 Title to the waste transfers to us once it has been loaded into our vehicle and payment has been received or agreed. However, if it is later found that the waste includes prohibited or unlawfully presented items, we may return such items to the Customer or seek reimbursement for any costs or penalties incurred.
10.1 The Customer warrants that they either own the waste or have full authority from the owner to arrange its removal.
10.2 The Customer warrants that the waste presented for collection complies with these Terms and Conditions and with all applicable laws and regulations, and that no hazardous or prohibited materials are included without our prior written consent.
10.3 The Customer agrees to indemnify Rubbish Removal Colliers Wood against any claims, costs, fines, penalties, or losses arising from a breach of these warranties or from the unlawful or unsafe presentation of waste.
11.1 We will provide the services with reasonable care and skill. If we fail to do so, our liability will, where possible, be limited to re-performing the service or issuing a refund for the relevant part of the charges.
11.2 While carrying out the service, our team will take reasonable care to avoid damage to property. However, we will not be liable for damage to driveways, paths, or other surfaces caused by the weight or movement of our vehicles where the Customer has requested that the vehicle enter the premises.
11.3 We will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, business interruption, loss of opportunity, or loss of goodwill arising out of or in connection with the services.
11.4 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
12.1 Rubbish Removal Colliers Wood maintains public liability insurance and, where applicable, employer's liability insurance at levels appropriate for the nature of our services.
12.2 Details of our insurance cover are available on request. The existence of such insurance does not extend or increase our liability beyond that stated in these Terms and Conditions.
13.1 We will use reasonable endeavours to carry out the service at the agreed time, but any times given are estimates only and are not guaranteed.
13.2 We will not be responsible for any delay or failure to perform the services arising from events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to traffic conditions, accidents, adverse weather, mechanical breakdowns, strikes, or regulatory action.
14.1 If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of our rubbish removal or waste collection service, you should notify us as soon as possible so that we have an opportunity to investigate and, where appropriate, remedy the issue.
14.2 We aim to resolve complaints promptly and fairly. If a dispute cannot be resolved directly, either party may pursue any legal remedies available under UK law.
15.1 In providing our services, we may collect and process personal data relating to the Customer, such as contact details, service addresses, and payment information.
15.2 We will handle personal data in accordance with applicable data protection legislation in the United Kingdom and will only use such data for the purpose of providing our services, managing our relationship with the Customer, and meeting our legal and regulatory obligations.
16.1 We may update or amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Any changes will take effect when published on our website or otherwise communicated to the Customer and will apply to bookings made after that date.
16.2 The version of the Terms and Conditions in force at the time of booking will apply to that booking, unless changes are required by law or regulatory authority.
17.1 If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found by a court or competent authority to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed deleted and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
18.1 These Terms and Conditions, and any disputes or claims arising out of or in connection with them or the services, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
18.2 The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions or the provision of our rubbish removal and waste collection services.
19.1 These Terms and Conditions, together with any written quotation or booking confirmation, constitute the entire agreement between Rubbish Removal Colliers Wood and the Customer in relation to the services. They supersede any prior understandings, representations, or agreements, whether written or oral.
19.2 No variation to these Terms and Conditions shall be effective unless agreed in writing by an authorised representative of Rubbish Removal Colliers Wood.
